Ali Banisadr is an Iranian-American painter whose work is both a juggernaut of kaleidoscopic forms and a dreamlike paradise of atmospheric dancing rhythms on canvas. I have a visceral reaction to his work.
Check out this interview of his work from September, 2012. Not only does his work stop me in my tracks, but I am amazed by his gracious responses and allusions to the greats in both art and literature.
